Interestingly the $10 AT&T is a hidden DSL deal .. (as of now). I read about the $10 DSL offer from ATT in news websites but it seems its not being advertised openly. AT&T is forced to offer this deal as a part of merger agreement in the Bell South deal. The details of the ten dollar deal is as follows:

1) the price is just $10 and needs a one year commitment.
2) The download speed offered is upto 768kbps and upload is upto 128kbps
3) The offer is available only in 22 states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. (states wher BellSouth had operation). In actual words of the agreement “”AT&TBellSouth in-region territory” means the areas in which an AT&T or BellSouth operating company is the incumbent local exchange carrier”
4) ATT has to offer the deal for at least 2 and half years !!
5) You are a new customer, ie you did not have ATT DSL or BellSouth for last 12 months.
