At an event in Mumbai on Tuesday, Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division announced the launch of its eagerly awaited games - Gears of War (GoW) and Viva Pinata for the Xbox 360 game system.

A third-person tactical action game, GoW is the first game developed by Epic Games exclusively for Microsoft Game Studios and the Xbox 360 entertainment system.

GoW revolves round mankind’s battle for survival, pitting gamers against the Locust Horde - a boorish race of creatures who could well have emanated from Hell itself.

Deploying the all new Unreal Engine 3, the game renders cinematic interactive environs - complete with high definition visuals, promising an out-of-the-world gaming experience.

Whereas, Viva Pinata has been developed by Rare Limited and Microsoft Game Studios exclusively for the Xbox 360 game system. Rated an “E” which means suitable for ‘Everyone’, the game offers an escape to Pinata Island, which also gets to be the destination of choice for wild roaming pi ata animals looking for shelter.
